Micro:bit Global Challenge – creativity to save the world

Wednesday 14th November

Can you help solve a problem in your community using the BBC micro:bit?

You could win an all expenses paid trip to London to take part in an amazing micro:bit Global Challenge day and start to make a real difference in the world!

They want to see all the creative ways you can improve the world around you. Whether it’s a gadget to improve health, a system to ensure safety crossing the road, or lights that change when the sun sets! Every little change can have a big impact.

Using their easy to understand, drag-and-drop coding platform, it’s easy to get creative – whether you’re a complete beginner or already a coding wizard. The contest is free to enter and you don’t even have to have a micro:bit to take part.

6 winners from around the world will be chosen. The micro:bit Foundation, in partnership with Arm and World’s Largest Lesson, are awarding the winners an all expenses paid trip to London to participate at the Global Challenge finale event!

To enter, all you need is:

1.   Get creative and get coding! Plan your solution and design your micro:bit device.

2.   Complete an entry form and submit your entry.

But hurry! There’s only a couple days left – until 5pm UK time on the 16th November 2018.
